All About NEET- National Eligibility and Entrance Test

The National Eligibility and Entrance Test also called NEET is an all-India entrance exam for getting enrolled in the best institutes for MBBS. Based on the National Medical Council Act of 2019, the NEET UG Examination is the only entrance test for getting admission to all prestigious government medical institutes in the country, such as (JIPMER) the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, and the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

The (AIPMT) All-India Pre-Medical Test was replaced in 2012 by the NEET (UG). For admission to MBBS and BDS programs until 2018, the CBSE will continue to administer the competitive entrance exam known as NEET.

The Government of India has announced the NEET Examination keeping in mind the One Nation One Exam policy in order to replace the many medical exams that were being held with a single exam. NEET is the only undergraduate medical entrance examination that uses this format; it is an offline, paper-based test.

Who Organises the NEET Exam?

Each year, the National Testing Agency conducts the NEET examination for the candidates who wish to take admission in top government medical colleges in India.

Unfortunately, the date of application for the NEET Exam 2024 has been over for this year. We suggest you better apply for the next year.

Candidates would be asked to fill in their preferences while completing the form. They can choose between the All-India Quota Seats and State Level Seats. However, the choice would be based on the CBSE-created Merit Lists. The State Level Rank Merit List and All-India Rank Merit List would both be released by CBSE. Candidates would be contacted for counseling as a result. Therefore, when filling out the NEET application forms, students should be very clear.
