What is the GATE Examination?
A nationwide examination known as the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is authorised and administered in eight different regions. The National Coordinating Board, Ministry of Human Resources Development, and Department of Education rely on the GATE Committee, faculty from IISc, and seven other IITs to administer the test. The GATE examination is designed to gauge students’ proficiency in science and engineering-related subjects.

All About GATE 2023 Examination
The organisation in charge of holding the GATE Exam 2023 is IIT Kanpur. The seven IITs in Kharagpur, Bombay, Guwahati, Delhi, Kanpur, Roorkee, and Madras and also the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore, jointly administer the GATE, a national exam. Different Technology, Engineering, and Govt Architecture Institutes use the result score to select candidates for masters and doctoral programs. The total number of subject papers has been revised to 29 Subjects with the addition of two new subjects, GE (Geomatics Engineering) and NM (Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture).

- After the date of the result release, the GATE score is still valid for three years when applying to M.Tech. programs.

Application Process for GATE EXAM 2023
The application process for GATE 2023 started on August 30 and the last date of registration is extended till October 7th, 2022. Applicants can review the GATE 2023 application procedures.
- Applicants must visit the official website of the GATE which is https://gate.iitk.ac.in/.
- Applicants must register themselves using the GOAPs, also known as the GATE Online Application Processing System, by providing their email address, name, and mobile number. A registration ID will then be generated. Applicants must change their passwords to log in the future.
- Once you are done with the registration process, you need to fill out a form asking for academic, personal, and qualification information. Applicants must select their preferred exam locations when completing the online application.
- As per the requirements of the exam authority, after the applicant has completed the application process, they must upload a scanned copy of their signature, photo, and category certificate (if applicable).
- Applicants can use a debit card, net banking, or a credit card to pay the registration fee.
- Applicants must submit the registration form after completing all of the above steps.

Documents Required for GATE Examination 2023
The names, mobile numbers, birth dates, and mobile numbers of the applicants’ parents must all be provided. The name of the applicant on the application form must match the name on the certificate attesting to their qualifying degree or on the certificate issued by the head of the department or institution where they are currently enrolled in classes. Eligibility Criteria for the GATE Exam 2023

Applicants must hold one of the below-mentioned undergraduate degrees to apply for GATE Examination 2023. The exam is also open to applicants who are in their third or final year of an undergraduate program.

Passing score: There is no minimum passing rate requirement for GATE 2023 eligibility.
Age Restriction: There is no set age restriction for applicants applying for the GATE exam.
Nationality: An aspirant must be from India.
Eligibility for Candidates from Outside India: applicants from Ethiopia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Bangladesh, and the United Arab Emirates are also eligible to apply for GATE 2023.
Selection Procedure for GATE Examination 2023
- Two cut-offs will be used: one will be the GATE qualifying cut-off, which will be announced by the GATE Committee, and the other will be the GATE admission cut-off, which will be announced by the relevant institutions for the admissions process. To be admitted to the NITs and IITs, applicants must be eligible for both.
- The application process for Ph.D., M.Tech., and other programs will be handled independently by the aforementioned institutions; the GATE Committee will NOT be in charge of this process.
- GATE certification does not guarantee employment with a PSU because that depends on the PSU’s hiring process. Any employment opportunities are not the responsibility of the GATE Committee. The qualified applicants must look up any such information in newspapers and other trustworthy sources.
- For obtaining a PSU Job applicants must attend an interview, and the PSU Recruitment Authorities alone will make the hiring decision.
