If there are a large number of applicants for any category of employment, the examination will be conducted in two stages, i.e., written and oral, Prelims and mains examinations. If the number of applicants for any category of employment falls below the minimum requirement, only the main examination will be conducted. In this respect, the bank’s decision will be final.

The HPSCB Assistant Manager Examination will consist of two rounds, namely, preliminaries and mains. For both the preliminary exam and the main exam, people who want to take the HPSCB Assistant Exam must review the HPSCB Exam Pattern 2023.

Essential Points to Note
- 0.25 percent of the total score will be deducted for each incorrect response.The online test will consist of objective, multiple-choice questions with five possible responses. The examination should be administered in both English and Hindi.
- The entire recruiting procedure will consist of two phases: an online test (Phase-I and Phase-II examinations) and an interview, in accordance with the bank’s service rules. The Bank will thereafter invite the applicants deemed successful in Phase-II (Main Examination) to participate in an interview. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s Phase-II (Main Examination) and interview performance scores.
- The final merit of the applicants will be determined based on the total marks received in the Main Examination (Phase-II) and the interview marks. Preference will be given to applicants with an understanding of the state’s customs, traditions, languages, and culture, and the examination will contain questions on the topic.
- Only those applicants who get at least fifty percent on the Phase-II (main examination) will be selected for the interview in accordance with the specified ratio.The bank reserves the right to relax or extend the eligibility requirements in terms of the minimum prescribed marks on the online examination in order to increase or decrease the number of candidates invited to an interview based on their performance on the online examination and the number of available positions.
