The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will conduct the IBPS PO Exam 2023 to select qualified aspirants for the post of PO in different public sector govt banks in India. Exam Pattern for IBPS PO 2023
IBPS changed the preliminary exam’s sectional timing to separate timing for each section. The IBPS Probationary Officer Exam (CRP XI) consists of a two-part online written examination: Tier 1 or the Preliminary Test and Tier 2 or the Mains Test. A personal interview process follows this examination.
Preliminary IBPS PO Exam-Pattern 2023
Each section of the IBPS PO preliminary examination, which will be delivered online, will last 1 hour and 20 minutes in total. There are three sections, a total of 100 questions of 100 points. The IBPS PO pre-exam has a negative marking, and 0.25 points are deducted for each incorrect response. Exam Pattern of IBPS PO Mains 2023
- Introduction of Descriptive Paper: Like the SBI PO examination, IBPS added Descriptive Paper to the main exam where writing ability will be tested. Aspirants will be required to write an essay and a letter will be worth 25 points and will be completed in 30 minutes.
- There are also changes in the total time allotted for each section.
- There will be no separate exam for computers. This section, which combines reasoning and computer skills, has 45 questions worth a total of 60 points.
- In addition, the total time allotted for the first objective test of IBPS PO 2023 has been increased from 140 minutes to 180 minutes, plus an additional 30 minutes for the descriptive test. IBPS PO Main takes a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete

Interview Round for the IBPS PO 2023
Finally, IBPS invites applicants who pass the Main Exam for an interview. The minimum score required to clear the interview process, which carries 100 points, is 40% for general candidates and 35% for ST/ SC/ PWD/ OBC applicants.
For each incorrect answer in the IBPS PO 2023 Preliminary Exam and IBPS PO 2023 Mains Exam, applicants will lose 0.25 marks. No points will be deducted if an applicant leaves a question unanswered or incomplete.
Last Decision
The applicants’ final selection for the position of the probationary officer will be based on their overall performance in the main exam and during the interview process. Both of these examination phases will carry equal weight in the ratio of 80:20. After the IBPS PO 2023 Exam Interview Process is completed, a merit list will be created. The joining letter will thus be made available to applicants who make the list by the Bank of their choice.
