On 9th November 1967, Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a public sector organisation that reports to the Ministry of Mines, was established. As the country’s only vertically integrated copper producer, it manufactures copper from the mining stage through beneficiation, refining, and casting of refined copper metal into downstream marketable products.

It is a national vertically integrated copper producer that produces copper at every level, from mining to beneficiation, smelting, refining and casting of refined coppers. In the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan,  Maharashtra, Jharkhand,  and Gujarat, there are five units with HCL mines and plants. This business sells copper cathodes, copper sulphate, wire bars, and sulfuric acid. This business wants to lead the mining industry and raise the calibre of its output.
