JEE Advanced 2024

IIT Bombay has released the results of the JEE Advanced examination, which can be viewed online at the jeeadv.ac.in website. Additionally, the final answer key has been made public. Below you can find a direct link to obtain the JEE advanced score card as well as the final answer key. After the results have been published, the rank list for JEE Advanced 2024 will also be uploaded.

Candidates will participate in JoSAA counselling to be assigned places in the IITs based on their AIR scores. The JoSAA counselling sessions began as of September 12 this year. What Exactly Is the JEE Advanced Exam?

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is an entrance exam given at the national level. The Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced can be given by any of the seven IITs, including IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee, as well as the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore (JAB).

JEE Advanced Answer Key and Response Sheet

Paper 1 and Paper 2 preliminary answer keys are available on the website. Any challenges candidates have can be submitted through the candidate portal after the preliminary answer keys have been made public. After applicants’ objections have been taken into account, final answer keys are made available online. All grades will be assigned based on the final answer key.

All candidates who took both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will have their exam responses, including any questions they missed, uploaded to the JEE advanced portal so that they may be seen, downloaded, and printed.

  • The JEE Main exam is the first step in the admissions process for JEE Advanced 2024.

  • Take the JEE Main exam in 2024 and you could be one of the top 2.5 lakh students who applied for the BE/BTech exam.

  • Register for the JoSAA counselling session in order to be considered for seat allotment in IITs.

Form of Application for the JEE Advanced

  • The application form for JEE Advanced can only be submitted by individuals who have achieved a rank in JEE Main 2024 that places them among the top 2.5 lakh candidates.
  • The application must be sent electronically, and the only place to find the application form is on the official website.
  • Every student is required to complete the initial registration process by going to the official website and submitting their JEE Main roll number, password, and security pin. This is the first stage.
  • The second phase in the application process for JEE Advanced requires students to submit different personal facts such as their name, the name of their parents, communication details, address details, and so on into the appropriate columns of the application form. The information on the application form needs to be correct, because giving false information could lead to a candidate’s candidacy being cancelled later on.
  • When filling out the application form, students will also be required to express their preferences for the location of the examinations.
  • Students will also have to provide scanned pictures of their passport-sized photos and signatures, in addition to the information.
  • After submitting all of the necessary information, students must print out several copies of the completed application form for future use.

Candidates will be required to attach scanned copies of their supporting materials to the online form. The following is a list of the necessary documents:

  • Any birth certificate or the Class X certificate, if thedate of birth is included on either of those documents,
  • Class XII (or similar examination) certificate.
  • Class XII (or similar examination) certificate.
  • A gazette notification detailing the candidate’s name change must be submitted if the candidate’s name does not appear to be the same as it is on their Class X certificate.
  • certificates of caste when they are required.

JEE Advanced 2024 Counselling - JoSAA

For the current academic year, the seats at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and any other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs) will be offered and allotted through a standardised procedure that will be administered by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). This procedure will take place entirely online. Candidates who took the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)  and got a rank are eligible to take part in the Joint Seat Allocation process.

The JoSAA is conducted solely online. All applicants who are qualified for admission will have to take part in the joint process of seat allocation. During this process, they will be asked to list in order of preference the courses and schools they want to be admitted to.

JEE Advanced Result

Results for JEE Advanced 2024 are made public online. Candidates will need to log in before they can check their scores or download their scorecards. In addition, candidates will receive text messages on the mobile phone numbers that they have provided for themselves.

There will not be any individual rank cards sent out to candidates.

The total number of points a candidate receives for the Physics section of the JEE Advanced  exam will be determined by adding the points earned in the Physics section of Paper 1 to the points earned in the Physics section of Paper 2.

The total grade you receive in chemistry as well as mathematics will be determined using the same criteria. The total number of marks that a candidate receives in the JEE (Advanced) exam will be determined by adding up the marks that the candidate receives in the subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

A candidate is considered to have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) if they get at least the minimum number of points for each topic and overall, which is based on their category.

The total number of points earned in JEE (Advanced) is used to compile the ranking lists that are used in the exam. Only applicants who took BOTH the Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams will have their rankings taken into account. There won’t be a list of people waiting to be ranked.

 

Exam Format for the JEE Advanced

Information about the JEE Advanced 2024 test, such as the number of questions, how they will be scored, the time, and more:

  • The exam structure is as follows: The examination will be given exclusively by computer-based testing (also known as CBT).
  • Number of papers: There will be two question papers for the JEE (Advanced) examination. Paper 1 and Paper 2 will each last for a duration of three hours.
  • Both of these documents need to be completed.
  • Both English and Hindi are used as the languages.
  • Total duration: 6 hours.
  • Every year, a new marking system is implemented.There is a chance that incorrect responses to some of the questions will result in a loss of points. At the time of the exam, the “Instructions to Candidates” section will have detailed information about the way points are given.
  • Number of parts: There will be three distinct sections on each individual test paper. These sections will be labelled “Physics,” “Chemistry,” and “Mathematics.

Advice for Preparing for the JEE Advanced

The following is a list of some of the advice regarding preparation that students need to follow in order to do well on the exam:

  • Students have to get a head start on their preparation for the JEE Advanced. They will be able to finish the course material on time, get their questions answered, completely review the material, and participate in the practice exams as a result of this.
  • Next, make sure you have a workable schedule and that you stick to it during the entire process of preparation. Make an effort to cover everything on the syllabus.
  • The students are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all the fundamental as well as more advanced ideas. It is possible to accomplish this by regularly finding answers to queries.
  • Ensure that both your physical and mental well-being are in good shape. Preparing for the JEE might be taxing. Relax and rejuvenate by taking some time off or breaks in between your study sessions.

Exam Centres for JEE Advanced

All of the JEE Advanced testing locations must be in India. The 2024 edition of JEE Advanced will not travel abroad.
When filling out the online application, candidates will be given the option to select their preferred testing locations. The seven zones for the JEE Advanced exam are located at the Indian Institutes of Technology in Delhi, Guwahati, Mumbai, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Kanpur, and Madras.

At the time they submit their application for JEE Advanced 2024, hopefuls will be asked to select their preferred zone. The candidates will vote on which centres they like, and those locations will then serve as the centres.

The admission card for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam will provide information about the testing centre, including its location, name, reporting time, and other pertinent details.

Eligibility Requirements for the JEE Advanced

The requirements for eligibility have been loosened up a bit for this year’s competition. Candidates can look at the information below to see if they are eligible to take the JEE Advanced in .

There are five factors to consider:

Results of the JEE Main : Candidates must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates in the BE/BTech Paper of the JEE (Main) exam. This requirement applies to all candidate categories. You can check the following table to see how many applicants will be accepted into each category for JEE Advanced .

There is an age restriction, and applicants must have been born on or after October 1, 1997, to be eligible. The age requirements for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories are pushed back by five years, meaning that these candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1992.

  • A candidate is allowed to take the JEE (Advanced) a maximum of thrice in each of the two years that immediately follow the first attempt.
  • Candidates who graduated from high school in 2023 or 2024 are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam in 2024.

Exceptions to this standard for the current year are as follows:

  • Candidates who first took the class 12th (or equivalent) examination in 2020 OR 2021 AND successfully registered for JEE (Advanced) 2023 but did not appear in any of the papers are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2024.
  • Candidates must have successfully registered for JEE (Advanced) 2024. Candidates falling into this category are exempt from meeting any additional requirements.
  • Candidates who will have completed Class 12 or its equivalent in 2020 are only allowed one attempt at taking the JEE Advanced exam; they can do so in either 2020 or 2021. In addition to that, they need to pass the JEE Main 2022 exam and be among the top 2.5 lakh applicants.
  • Earlier admission at IITs: A candidate should NOT have been admitted to an IIT in the past, regardless of whether or not the candidate continued in the program or accepted an IIT seat by reporting “online” or at a “reporting centre” in the past. This rule applies regardless of whether or not the candidate continues in the program.
