Exam Pattern for GATE 2023

Meanwhile, the GATE Exam Pattern will be very helpful to candidates getting ready for the GATE exams. The best way to perform well and succeed in the exams is to prepare based on the syllabus and the marks distribution specified in this examination pattern. The GATE 2023 test questions are all completely objective. Numerous choice questions (MCQs) and questions with numerical answers (NATs) could be included in the question pattern.

Applicants are advised to review the detailed marking scheme provided in the GATE 2023 syllabus to determine the marks and topic weighting.

Applicants should be familiar with the GATE 2023 exam format before taking the examination.

  • The GATE 2023 Examination will last a total of three hours.
  • 65 questions will be included in the GATE 2023 Exam.
  • Multiple-selection questions (MCQs), Multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and questions with numerical answers will make up the questions (NATs).
  • Each question in the GATE 2023 exam will be worth one point or two points, for a total of 100 points.
  • Each incorrect MCQ answer will also result in a loss of one-third (1/3) of your total score.
  • No points are deducted for the NAT and MSQ.

GATE Exam 2023 Marking System Questions carry 1 mark and 2 marks.
Negative Marking in GATE Exam There won’t be any negative marking for selecting the 

 

incorrect answer in MCQs.

For 1-mark MCQs, incorrect answers will result in a deduction of 1/3 

of the mark.

For 2-mark MCQs, incorrect answers will result in a deduction of 2/3 

of a mark.

There will NOT be any negative marking for NAT-type questions.

Negative Marking Scheme for GATE 2023

Negative markings may have an impact on an applicant’s exam performance, so they must concentrate intently. Applicants should be familiar with the GATE’s negative marking policy before beginning their exam preparation.

  • In questions for the NAT and MSQ, there is no negative marking.
  • For MCQ questions, there is a negative marking policy. Marks will be deducted for any incorrect answers to MCQs.

Admit Card for GATE Examination 2023

The GATE Admit Card 2023 will be made available on January 3, 2023. The admit card can only be downloaded by applicants who have successfully registered. 25 to 30 days before the GATE 2023 exam. Follow the below-mentioned steps to easily download your admit card: –
