  • According to the instructions that the government has been issuing from time to time in this regard, the age restriction may be lowered for former service members, as well as for the children and dependents of victims of the riots that occurred in Gujarat in 2002 and the Sikh riots that occurred in 1984.
  • There is a relaxation of the age restriction of up to a maximum of 5 years for those outstanding athletes who are listed in Paragraph 1 (a) of D.O.P. & A.R., O.M. No. 14015/1/76-Estt.(D), dated April 8, 1980.
  • The applicant who wishes to claim an age reduction under this category is required to provide the requested certificate, which must be in the form and issued by the authority specified in the OM that serves as a reference.
